Key problems seem to be, world climate change, rising oil prices, lack of international law, poverty in 80% of the world, excessive debt, instability of markets, loss of stable employment and I'm sure you can make up your own. [Added 2008] The present financial crisis is caused by these closely connected problems, and the lack of any resolution of them. I might add as nodes in the diagram, lack of democracy, corruption, propaganda of the airways, and the lack of global governance.
All of these "problems" are interrelated and they are all outside your direct control. So in one way you can get away with ignoring them. But on the other hand these things will impact on your country, on your business and also on you. Ultimately too, they are not outside of political control. These are things we need to know about and need to make clear to our politicians. Short range thinking merely compounds the problem. We need a Global Mindshift.
