I welcome your interest in the concept of an "Open Future",
a future with expanding resources and opportunities rather than narrowing
ones.
The future is always in dispute, there are limited resources and competing
claims on those resources. As the population grows that becomes more obvious,
it's not just an economic problem, it's also about the failure
of politics and the inadequacy of law. But it's a problem modern societies
have to resolve, if humanity is to continue beyond the "seventh generation.”
As the young people keep telling us, “there is no Planet B”
we can use, if we destroy this one.
